Thank you for visiting the Edward O'Brien Pottery website.
I am a pottery artist and teacher residing in the city of Townsville, located in North Queensland, Australia.
I enjoy all aspects of pottery creation, from recycling clay, to throwing, turning, decorating, glaze making and glazing, and firing. I especially look forward to opening the kiln after a firing to see the finished products.
I specialise in functional ware, including mugs, tumblers, bowls, platters, lidded vessels, mosquito coil holders, tagines, and casserole dishes. I also enjoy producing sculptural pieces.

I also teach pottery which I enjoy immensely. In my classes, the emphasis is on having FUN while learning a new creative skill. See my Pottery Classes page for information.
